Synopsis

Thai Investigators is one of Thailand’s leading private investigation firms. They required a simple brochure site that reflects their professionalism.

Their main requirement was that it will be on the first page of the major search engines for relevant searches in Thailand. I have uploaded the site on the first of April, so at the time of writing it isn’t indexed yet.

Technically it is a pretty basic site. With jQuery I added a nice dropdown menu, some image carousels, some smooth scrolling in-page anchors, link nudging, a lightbox and frontend validation for the contact form. I wrote everything from scratch except for the frontend validation, I used a plugin for that one.

I had a lot of fun writing the jQuery and there’s some nice CSS3 effects for visitors with a real browser (sorry Internet Explorer users, you’ll have to wait till version 9). I added a HTML5 doctype and used some of the new HTML5 coding styles, but stayed away from the new HTML5 elements.
